Genre Analysis - War
War films are targeted towards a male age range of around 15 - 30 years. Men are stereo-typically known for their aggressive and physical nature and these traits are generally found within a war film. War films contain violence, death and a lot of fighting. Men will want to watch war films so they can relate to the protagonist and so that they imagine them selfies as being them.
Some war films also feature a heroine that may or may not play an important part in the story of the film. What ever the purpose, including a heroine or love interest will widen the target audience as women may want to watch it due to the romance aspect of the film.
